Mark Platts brings considerable experience to KUFC.  For the last eight years he has been a director at Internationals SC and the head coach of the U13 and U14 ECNL teams.  Many of his teams have won ECNL conferences and qualified for ECNL playoffs.  He has also had the privilege of coaching players who have gone on to play for the US Youth National Teams and at the Pro level.  He is the former head coach at Smith College (MA) and Point Park University (PA).  He also served as an assistant coach at Eastern Oregon University (OR) and Walsh University (OH).  His vast experience includes time as a Director of Coaching at several youth programs including Northampton Soccer Club, Union County United, and Canyon Optimist Crossfire.

He holds coaching certificates and licenses, including the USC Master Coach Diploma, University of Delaware Coaching Certificate, NSCAA Premier Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma, Regional GK License, and the USSF “B” License.  He also has an All But Dissertation (ABD) on a PhD in Sports Leadership and Administration.

Jen Simonetti, an NCAA coach of the year recipient, brings with her extensive experience as a collegiate coach, with stints serving as the Head Coach at the University of Akron, Case Western Reserve University, Eastern Oregon University (NAIA) and Marietta College, and making multiple stops as an assistant coach, including the University of Massachusetts Lowell (Division I), and Division III programs in Oberlin College, Westfield State University, Chatham University, and Marietta College. 
 
A standout defender at the University of Dayton, Simonetti earned a spot on the NSCAA All-America Third Team as a senior in 2004. She also claimed the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year award as a senior and was a two-time all-conference first team selection during her time with the program. Simonetti was also a starting defender for the Cincinnati Ladyhawks of the W-League while in college. Simonetti graduated from Dayton with a bachelor's degree in Pre-Physical Therapy and Exercise Science, has her USSF 'C' License, and has received multiple United Soccer Coaches Diplomas, including her Director of Coaching, and State and Regional Goalkeeping
